E11: Results Expectations, Filler, Earning Great Skin, PRP, the Mind-Body Connection, and more with

In Episode 11 of The SkinCrush Podcast we talk with Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Dr. Yula Indeyeva, from the McCollough Institute for Appearance and Health in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Dr. Indeyeva earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She also completed her residency training in Otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, at Virginia Commonwealth University. During her residency she was exposed to a wide range of both cosmetic and functional head and neck surgery cases, including minor and major facial trauma. Following residency, she chose to pursue a highly competitive fellowship through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and completed her fellowship in June 2018 under the direction of world-renowned Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. E. Gaylon McCollough. Dr. McCollough offered her the position of a full-time associate in his practice, which she happily accepted.

Facial plastic surgery, both aesthetic and reconstructive, is Dr. Indeyeva’s area of expertise. She performs surgeries such as facelifts, neck lifts, eyebrow lifts, eyelid surgery, nasal surgery, lip augmentation, chin augmentation, and more. She also works with injectable treatments for both aesthetic and functional purposes and has a particular interest in skin health and rejuvenation. What makes Dr. Indeyeva such a special surgeon is how much she loves to see her patients transition to feeling their best an gaining confidence after working together. Often times this new confidence leads her patients to new experiences and life changes. She truly values the ability to improve the quality of life for her patients and help the through traumatic experiences and insecurities. Dr. Indeyeva believes that technical (surgical) experience is not enough. It’s about the bonds she forms with her patients, which are powerful and long-term.

In addition to her practice at the McCoullough Institute, Dr. Indeyeva works with a humanitarian program called FACE to FACE. The organization is dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence with obtaining care for their injuries. She provides consultations and surgical treatments free of charge to those that have been referred to her through the program.

It was such an honor and a joy to have Dr. Indeyeva on the podcast! She graciously gave us her time, explored a number of aesthetic treatment topics, and shared some of her own personal current skincare obsessions. It is one of our best episodes yet!
